The following are shortcomings in pre-,
present, and post treatment situations in and/or during the
recovery phases of patients:
-
When
healthcare practitioners
release patients for home recovery, it is of paramount
importance that much more attention is given to the
applications and use of practical supportive equipment
and products to enhance the recovery phase and improve
the quality of life.
-
Financial affordability is a key
element in the acquisition of products where patients
lack the benefit of a medical aid. Healthcare
providers in general lack the ability to embrace less
expensive solutions and initiatives provided by
entrepreneurs aiming
at making
healthcare recovery more accessible
and financially affordable to all levels of the
community.
-
Medical staff lacks knowledge and information regarding
alternative medical solutions, - and therefore lacks the
inability to educate and empower patients for
faster/better recovery or general health improvement.
-
In smaller practices e.g. medical-,
physiotherapy-, homecare-, wound care, etc. staff does
not always have the assurance that new alternative
products are inexpensive, medical fund approved,
practical and safe. We accommodate these needs by
being accredited by the Board of Healthcare Funders of
South Africa.
